Baltic Sea Almost Ice-Free

Baltic Sea is still almost ice-free and sea waters are unseasonably warm. According to the Finnish Institute of Marine Research, waters around Finland are one or two degrees above the long-term average.

  1. Thank you for this report. How distressing! I noticed that the summers in Finland and Sweden were getting warmer for a while. Perhaps the trend on the sea will reverse. Ice and snow are COOL!
