PEACECORPSPROJECTS is nice and clean website in design, strong in framework.

Our job was to allow Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) to upload projects and articles to a database that is easily searchable and viewable by the public.

Once Peace Corps Volunteers signup for memebership, they will fill out a form that details information about their project – country, program, if funding is needed or not (just provide link to funding site, not dealing with paypal/money on this site). Also they will be able to upload documents, pictures, (embed) videos to further explain their project. This information will enter a database which will allow visitors to search and view their work by the specified parameters.

Another similiar link will be an article submission form. Users will input articles they have written, again specifying searchable information like country/program. As well as pictures, additional docs. Once submitted, users can view, comment and rate articles.

This website is developed by our own framework, which is written in PHP and compitable for both PHP4 and PHP5, it covers almost all type of database that ADOdb support, we use ADOdb for database management, it has a smarter and strong routing system which generates SEO-friendly URL for frontend, and also has user role management system which control different level of accessibility.
