Charles Rennie Macintosh in Helsinki

On his lewism blog Lewis wrote:
Andrew MacMillan is giving a lecture on the Scottish Architect Charles Rennie Macintosh at the Ateneum-sali Kaivokatu 2, Helsinki on 26.04.2006. Anyone who is interested in Finnish Jugendstil and Finnish art at the turn of the century should definitely think about attending. Macintosh was a great illustrator and interior designer as well as an Architect and being contemporary with people like Eliel Saarinen and the jugendstil style of Helsinki old town will make for a fascinating comparison. The lecture is only part of the art on silver screen series being held at the ateneum. Its a really interesting series so I have enclosed the programme of the press release below. Also see the Design Museum page on Macintosh.
