As part of the centennial celebration of the Oslo Architect Association, this installation art piece (with sound) has been installed nearby Akerhusfestning in Oslo. It is an 'abstract futuristic' interpretation of Skansen, a restaurant, built in 1927 (demolished in 1970) that stood near the site. Skansen was the first example of architectural functionalism (funksjonalism/'funkis') in the Nordic region. Even in the roaring '20's I don't think the citizens could ever have imagined something quite like this…
