Art is part of humanity at ARS 06
In 2006, The Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma will organise the 7th international ARS exhibition, an important review of contemporary art in the 21st century. The first ARS exhibition was held in 1961.
Art seeks diverse ways of understanding reality. All ARS exhibitions have aroused discussion and many of the works exhibited have continued to live on in the minds of the spectators. Each ARS exhibition has formed a picture of its time and offered unforgettable experiences.
Approximately 40 artists and collectives from almost 20 countries are to participate in the exhibition. In the exhibition, the participating artists will either present several works or one extensive work. The participants will include four Finnish artists. The works exhibited offer moving experiences, small miracles.
ARS 06 concentrates on art’s role as a part of the human experience. The works will be accompanied by changing projects. The programme is varied and includes events, seminars, workshops and lectures, as well as a series of performances in the Kiasma Theatre.

Foorumi – Pingstate nro. 3
There were a thread on very popular among Finland designers pingstate.nu forum, where folks exchanged opinions about Finnish company Mainospisa.
The first point was the job ad of an Assistant of Art Director position on site of Ministry of Labor of Finland (mol.fi). This ad was posted many times during the last year, and it seems that this company continuously searching for new workers. Later in some of the messages in that thread people claimed that this company has a strong flow of their employees and other internal problems.
It was a very interesting and informative reading, especially for people who planned to apply to that job, because some of employees of that company posted valuable information regarding the working environment and conditions etc.
Yesterday this thread was closed, and now there is another, where people talk about censure and moderation. Worth to read (In Finnish). In some limited amount of time the original Mainospisa thread available in Google cache.
