I loved the way how shadow divided this design into the two and gave a depth to this picture.

Historical landmarks from four centuries
Lignell & Piispanen has deep roots in the history of Finnish industrialisation. The company’s roots go all the way back to 1783, when the construction of a royal distillery was completed at the location of Lignell & Piispanen’s current premises. The same location has witnessed various forms of spirits production and entrepreneurship to the present day - we are reminded of the past by the distillery’s spirits cellar and gigantic spirits tank, which date back to the 18th century. From pressrelease of Iittala:
13.02.2006
www.aaltosvoice.com
This year Iittala has many reasons to celebrate: in addition to the Aalto vase’s jubilee year, it is 125 years since the company was founded.
In addition to being an architect and designer, Alvar Aalto was an opinion leader as a conversationalist and idealist thinker in his circle. In honour of the jubilee year, Iittala will make one of Aalto’s dreams come true: we will open a modern online version of the open discussion forum “the Human Sideâ€? Alvar Aalto envisioned. We have called it www.aaltosvoice.com. (more…)

This great Light Cube light is created by designers Simon Anund and Kristian Nilsson from Swedish firm KONKRET FORM.
Here is some info about them from Konkret Form site:
Konkret Form is Simon Ð?nund and Kristian Nilsson, both born 1977 in Linköping 20 Swedish miles south of Stockholm.
The company was formed in 1999 and is now based in Stockholm.
We worked for several years together with other artists and designers and felt that we wanted to use our knowledge to make something on our own terms.
When we think of furniture we think of simple forms that can be used in many different ways. We also feel very connected to art probably because we keep on working with art projects and installations.
We think it’s very important to experiment in many different areas, otherwise we might become narrow minded which is the shortest way to death of creativity. If you look at our products you probably find them very related to art by Donald Judd, his work is а big source of inspiration.
We control everything from simple prototype drawings to advanced production techniques. It’s important for us to be involved in the production process which we also find very interesting and developing.

Serge Van de Zande from LUON blog wrote in his article about design of Heinz Ketchup Sweden site:
Can you build a stylish site to promote a bottle of Ketchup? The Swedes apparently can. Check out the site from Heinz Ketchup Sweden. And even if you don’t understand the language, it’s quite easy to surf the site (that’s what they call good navigation) They also offer some beautiful wallpapers. After your Scandinavian visit, you can compare it with the online brand experience on the Heinz Ketchup Belgium website. Find the 10 differences…

“egg” - a lamp of combinations to put on the floor, at the table, at a shelf or use it as your dinner table light. “egg”- is a poetic experience of aesthetics and light in harmony.
The idea emerged from playful experiments with function, form and material. Casted porcelain with organic material that leaves traces. Glazed on the inside with a crystalline glaze. Polished on the outside.
