Lordi is about a week still on covers of gossip magazines in Finland
Originally uploaded by Gloel.
The Lordi phenomena is very addictive. Now you cannot find a kid from age of two who don't know about Lordi. Children love Lordi, even my daughters loving Lordi, my younger, Hani, said when she seen Lordi's song on Eurovision contest- “This guy will win this contest”, and she was right.
Recently two of gossip newspapers, 7 days and Katso, published photo of unmasked face of the leader of the group, Tomi Putaansuu. Tomi had repeatedly asked that the media not publish photographs of members of the band without their monster masks and makeup. Magazines were apologised for that, but sure they made incredible sales these days.

During the summer, the parkâ™s outdoor cafés and restaurants are always packed. Other areas are full of joggers, skaters and walkers. There is a playground and children are allowed to climb on the sculptures. Frognerbadet outdoor pool is located next to the park. The park is open around the clock all year round; admission is free.

A very handy tool for calculating Golden Ratio and Golden Rectangle. Highly recommended to bookmark for every designer and architect who uses Golden Ratio in his work. This tool saves me time on regular basis.

Lordi! Lordi! Lordi!
Originally uploaded by Goth Twiglet.
I didn't wanted to write about it, because I don't like Eurovision Song Contests and all related politic junk. Phil already wrote about it on his Finland for thought blog, and many others across the blogosphere certanly did. I hear already jokes about Lordi on my work and on TV in cofee shop.
The first thing that come in my mind after their victory was: is Finland ready to be a host for the next Eurovision Song Contest? Is there enough places and forces to provide security on the streets during this event, and is Hartwall arena enough big for that?
Okay, I do believe that everything will be fine, and guests will be satisfied with Lapin Kulta, Karjalanpiirakka and the rhubarb juice. I am more concerned about the style of new contest. Lordi broke the boring spirit of Eurovision and the smartest way to give some twist to next contest would be to use of Hard-rock symbols and style in decorations and videographics. It would be also reasonable to invite some icons like Ville Valo, Tarja Turunen, etc.
But I afraid it will be as always: byrches, swans, raindeers and lakes… why not to put some biker mob at the background at least?
