I love the fatboy, one of the best design items I know. The giant pillows (140 by 180 cm) are better than your bed, chair or bench. But that's my opinion! The pattern on the pillow is from marimekko.

Today Isabella felt in sleep on the fatboy.

Bernhard Willhelm and Carsten Fock exhibit at Allmänna Galleriet 925

15th August 2006 – Bernhard Willhelm stages his first ever exhibition with artist Carsten Fock at Allmänna Galleriet 925. The exhibition will showcase the results of Bernhard Willhelm and Carsten Focks artistic collaboration from Tuesday 15th August â“ 16th September at Kronobergs gatan 37, Stockholm.

Bernhard Willhelm is an internationally celebrated fashion designer, and Carsten Fock, one of the most idiosyncratic and exploratory painters of his generation. They have come together to create works, paintings and murals that come across like 21st century folk art.

Art-lovers in Stockholm can see what happens when Carsten Fockâ™s images grow out of fabric, when Bernhard Willhelmâ™s needle becomes a pencil, when faces disappear behind thread, when patterns read like invocations of spirits. Something is living in these images, something is dying in these images: it is the pulse of the times, passing through time; it is our time, which approaches and recedes. They begin to resemble each other, the artist and the fashion designer: Carsten Fock measures the present by tailoring and overlaying patterns of the past; Bernhard Willhelm discovers a present by overwriting the past.

Together, they seek the good spirits that inhabit our present.

Bernhard Willhelmâ™s autumn/winter 06 collections for both men and women will be available to buy exclusively from BENEATH.
