Swedish road authorities are set to position model elks along Swedenâ™s roadsides in an attempt to yet again remind drivers that theyâ™re at risk from elk wandering into the road.
Swedish police, SOS Alarm and Vägverket (the Swedish Road Administration) are all involved in the week-long project which is set to last until September 3, reports Dagens Nyheter.
Police are set to question drivers who pass the model elk and ask them if they saw the animal.
âœThere is a tendency for many drivers to not pay attention to that which exists on the side of the road,â project spokesman Lars Sävberger told DN.
Some 35,000 elk are hit on Swedish roads each year.

How are the culture industries getting on in the Nordic Region? What potential do they have? What policy instruents and other measures exist and what contribution is culture capable of making to economic development in the Nordic countries?A Nordic conference on all these themes will be held in Trondheim 4-5 October, as part of the Norwegian Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers 2006.
From
Norden.org, an official site of Nordic Council and Nordic Council of Ministers:
“The Nordic Region as a common domestic market for culture, perhaps particularly for music, will be another item on the agenda Export strategies - are Nordic partnerships and synergies worth pursuing or does competition policy preclude that possibility? Is the situation the same for Nordic design? And what about food culture - how do we take Nordic cuisine even further?”

For the home-based users a backup software is the best solution without having to deal with as compared to a complicated and hard-to-use data recovery software. This may also be very helpful for business users who do not want to waste resources deploying a computer backup service. For a full backup that ensures full a complete drive restore, data recovery group can be consulted. This saves hours r even days rebuilding your database via online file sharing.

SFTEWe have wrote already about Turning Torso building. This notable structure become a landmark of Malmö, Sweden. It's also used as a field for extreme activities as well, as you can learn from this article, written by Richard from storm from the east blog:
You can see the video of Felix Baumgartner base jumping from the beautiful Turning Torso in Malmö, Sweden
here. The video also includes some very nice aerial shots of the building. As base jumping is illegal in Sweden, the video also shows Baumgartner being whisked away from the scene by motorcycle and then being taken by boat to Denmark.
