The toxicity of predatory fish and mushrooms still exceeds the EU recommendations in Western Finland. The fish and mushrooms tested in the southwestern town of Vammala still exhibit elevated levels of the radioactivve isotope caesium-137 and mercury, even 20 years after the Chernobyl nuclear accident.
In the view of the Finnish Food and Safety Authority (Evira), the Vammala results reflect the situation across the southern and western regions of Finland.

We love designs of Swedish designer Harald Hynell, his Lap Tray is my personal favorite. This time he introduces his latest creation, Tree hanger. It’s look and functionality are brilliant as his other works are. Harald says in his own blog:
A hanger that looks like a branch is not a new idea but I’v always been intrigued by the tree. The organic shape is fascinating. The trees I scribbled in my school books during the years are countless.

Renewed Diana’s park was opened officially in Helsinki yesterday. This event was organizing by infamous Design District Helsinki and named after sculpture of Diana by Yrjö Liipola that decorating the park since 1928.
Helsingians were celebrated this event with music, performances and refreshments. Modern dance group Gruppen Fyra entertained the audience.
After number of months of eventual work during night hours I finally launched site of my own design studio: Hotsnow.fi.

Regarding the life here, in Helsinki, there are some activities after some quet summer weeks, one of them is The Helsinki Festival, that promise many events that will sure entertain you and give some enthousiastic mood for upcoming fall.
I’d like to note personally the concert of PMMP, that will run at Thursday 30/08 at 19 (fully booked), Tarkovsky by Docpoint and Our Land! in Lasipalatsi.
On the end of September the famous Cirque du Soleil is going to perform their faboulous Delirium in Hartwall Arena, and I admit, I was unable to resist the temptation to buy the tickets…
