5 Figgjo Turi Design Lotte luncheon plates. I found these this morning in a thrift store for 25c each. It’s a little independant senior citizens club thrift and I asked the volunteer manning the tiny store, who’d happened to put them out (well, bury them under a pile of other plates) the day before, why they were priced at that price. She said that they had been hers, that she’d had them forever, broken the rest of the set over the years and didn’t think anyone would want them because they were so faded. They are very faded and well used. I offered her more money for them but she wouldn’t take it, she said that their books, CDs and videos, of which the donations never end, bring in so much money for the club I shouldn’t worry about it. Um…ok!
